Coins from Bob?

I’ve never really believed that when you find pennies and dimes on the ground it’s a coin sent from someone you love in Heaven. I hear people mention it all the time though, pennies and dimes. Either way, I never pass up money I find out the ground, every little bit adds up.

Logan went with his grandma Saturday to my nephews basketball games and then to stay the night. After one of the boys games Logan was playing in the arcade area with his cousin and he ends up finding 2 pennies and a dime. Not sure if they were in the coin slot or he found them on the ground. To me, that seems like a sign from Bob. The dime for me and a penny for each boy? 🙂 How cool is that?! Also, Logan told grandma that he wanted to give them to someone that didn’t have any money. What 4 year old says that? That’s so thoughtful and sweet of him. When he says things like that it definitely makes me feel like I’m doing something right.

Bob and I always gave to others in need, it was something we loved to do and brought us joy. There were a few gofundme accounts that he donated to last year even though we were going through so much. We always gave money at church and I helped a friend start a couponing group a few years ago at our church so we could help those in need. I have boxes in the basement that I put items I’ve couponed for to take to our group at church. Logan has always been interested in what I was doing with those items and I’d always make sure he knew that they were going to people that couldn’t afford them. Every time I left the hospital while Bob was there I would always see someone on the corner with a sign. Most days it was the same man but sometimes there were others. I always gave change when I had it, other times I handed them water or whatever unopened snack I had on me from the hospital. It just felt right and good to do. Helping others is what Bob and I loved. We had said all throughout last year how great it was that God put all these amazing people in our lives to help us out while we were going through this battle and we couldn’t wait to pay it forward. Well, obviously, things didn’t go as planned but I’m still going to pay it forward. I’m going to get back into my couponing because I’ve really missed it and I know how many people it’s helped. It may take a while to get it all figured out but I will have a foundation in Bob’s name dedicated to helping others in my situation. Not only do I want to help others but I want to honor Bob. If anyone wants to help with that plan or has ideas please let me know. Any and all advice is welcomed.

Be open to the signs.
