This post is a little late but I’ve been really busy. Finalizing taxes, kids school, Logan started tee ball practice, etc.
My first Easter without Bob. I just can’t stand it, all these firsts really suck. Also, it was on the 27th which was 5 months, just another reminder that he’s not here. I went to Bob’s moms for it and just watching my boys hunt for eggs with their cousins and Bob not being there is a sad thing. I am so thankful though that they have all these amazing older cousins to look up to and that are willing to be there for the kids and help them out. My nephews Glenn and Blake didn’t hunt for eggs but Glenn was helping Caleb and Blake was helping Logan. After the hunt and lunch we all went outside since it was such a nice day. Played ball with the kids and Bobs mom, sister and I were competing with each other on our Fitbits trying to get the most steps in, lol. It was a sight to see. Family photos were taken and I’m just thankful I’m still part of their family.
Since we had Easter that day we didn’t get to go visit Bob’s tree but we went a few days later. It was beautiful, all these yellow flowers were just surrounding it and they weren’t there the month before. The kids were running around in front of Daddy’s tree, laughing and playing and it just felt like Bob was right there with them. I am so glad we have that place to visit and play around. It’s our new spot and the boys love it.
