Shooting Range

I’ve been wanting to go to the shooting range for a long time. Bob and I went a few times last year but with everything he had going on we didn’t get to go as often as we would have liked.

Since he died everything has been constant and I don’t really get a break at all. Even on Wednesdays when both kids are in school is when I usually go by Bob’s grave, run errands, grocery shop, etc.

Yesterday was the last day of school for Caleb so that meant it was the last day both boys would be at school at the same time for this school year. That also meant it was my last day for a break. Instead of running errands I went to the shooting range. I had planned on getting a membership at this place but 2 weeks ago I was at a Fundraiser for the son of a guy Bob worked with and they had a membership as one of the donations to bid on. I won the membership with the highest bid so it worked out. Ryder is the little boy who the fundraiser was for and he was diagnosed with a rare cancer at 7 months old. You can read about it here and also donate.  https://www.gofundme.com/37a5c72s

It was nice getting to shoot and release some stress but it was also weird. My first time shooting by myself without Bob. I know he was right there with me telling me how good I did. I’m so thankful he taught me how to shoot the guns we had in the house and how to protect myself and our boys if need be. Now if I had only watched him a little closer when he cleaned his guns, haha. Luckily I just tried out one of their guns so I didn’t have to worry about cleaning it. Once the boys are back in school I think this place will be a go to once a week as a nice stress reliever.
